Mission
The Center for Applied Competitive Technologies (CACT), headquartered at Irvine Valley College in south Orange County, is a non-profit outreach program of the California Community College system. CACT is dedicated to enhancing the strength and competitiveness of California's small to medium-sized manufacturing companies by promoting economic development through various capacities.

As a direct provider and also in the role of a referral clearinghouse, CACT facilitates training and technical and business assistance for small and medium-sized manufacturers. Working together with private, public and educational partner associations, the ultimate goal of CACT is to retain and attract business into the state of California.

Overview
Established in February 1998, The Center for Applied Competitive Technologies serves as a resource, information, training and business assistance center. CACT at Irvine Valley College has enjoyed great success during its short existence.
