  • CACT 200 Optics Cleaning, Handling and Inspection: This six-hour workshop provides instruction on how to inspect, clean, and handle optical components with optical coatings, such as optical flats, lenses, and mirrors. Students receive hands on exposure to cleaning, surface inspection to military specifications for scratch/dig, handling, and storage of finished optics. You'll learn how to recognize contamination and how to avoid it, how to remove stains, how to use cleaning materials, containers, and solvents, and discover other optical and mechanical mounting techniques.
     
  • CACT 210 Laser Safety: Four-hour workshop covers basic laser terms and safety principles, and reviews the FDA regulations for the use and manufacturing of lasers. Class located at either CACT classroom or company site.
     
  • CACT 250 Inventory Management: Most organizations struggle with inventory management. They either have too much or too little. Learn how to balance inventory by creating and controlling a sound inventory plan designed to maximize customer service and minimize cost.
     
  Two-day Workshops
 
  • CACT 230 Overview of Technological Forecasting: Learn to scan the business horizon and develop technological forecasts by using the Delphi Method, trend extrapolation, correlation, historical analogies, and many more. Discover the stages of innovation, technology measurement methods, and the use of formal research techniques—questionnaires and sampling—to capitalize on opportunities to implement cutting edge technologies.
     
  • CACT 240 Principles of Project Management Basics: This course can be structured for your specific needs. It is currently offered as a 16-hour class. Depending on your requirements, it can be shortened or extended. The basic elements of the courses include definition of the project plan; discussion of the phases of the project life cycle; use of project tools and techniques such as earned value, network scheduling, and Gantt charts; and establishment and management of the project team, including the project manager. The course is designed for anyone leading or participating on a project.
